HDB's flash estimate shows the resale price index fell 0.3% quarter on quarter in 2Q2026, after a 0.1% fall in 1Q2026, which was the first decline in nearly seven years. Resale volume was 6,268 transactions, down 10.2% from a year earlier and little changed from 6,285 in 1Q2026, according to EdgeProp and ERA.

What to take from it
- Two small quarterly declines are not a trend by themselves. The next flash estimate, released on 1 Oct 2026, showed a further 0.2% fall in 3Q2026, the third straight dip, with resale volume up 17.7% on the quarter to 7,528.
- Resale prices vary widely by town, flat type and lease remaining. The index is an average.
